Participation in the Norwegian Financial Mechanism Programme “Business Development, Innovation and SMEs”

Project Overview

UAB “VLI Timber” is participating in a project under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism Programme “Business Development, Innovation and SMEs”.

UAB “VLI Timber” is currently implementing a project partially funded by the European Union titled “Implementation of Competitive Cultural Products at UAB ‘VLI Timber’”, Project No. 13.1.1-LVPA-K-310-01-0124 (hereinafter – the Project). Operating since 2009, the company is the largest producer of kiln-dried firewood in Lithuania, with a mission to manufacture premium-quality kiln-dried firewood for stoves and fireplaces.

Project Objectives

In order to address the challenge of identifying reliable and suitable biofuel suppliers (pellets, briquettes, firewood, etc.), UAB “VLI Timber” initiated the Project, under which an innovative and competitive sales platform for biofuels (as well as other products and services) will be developed.

The initial mission of the platform is to make the biofuel market more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly, while creating greater value for all participating stakeholders. Through digital technologies, producers will be able to forecast the volume of orders for the following day in advance. This will reduce inventory levels and streamline the supply chain. Digital engineering solutions will enable customers to identify the most suitable supplier options.
